Policies
OUR PASSION FOR SERVICE
Our goal is to create a pleasurable dining experience with clear communication before, during and after each event.
We offer a broad spectrum of menu ideas and will custom design any event from scratch. Menu selection may be anywhere from simple to extravagant, depending on your needs. Our experience and ability to create special events make any type of function extraordinary. Elior is committed to providing exceptional, high-quality caterings in support of events on campus.
We want to ensure that we are providing you with the very best options for you to choose from, so please let us know if there is anything you do not see in our catering guide. We will be happy to assist you at any time with placing your food and beverage orders. Simply call the catering office and an event planner will walk you through the online process. We want to make every event a special event!
FOOD AND BEVERAGE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
LEAD TIME
To provide the best service for your event, a minimum lead-time of (14) fourteen days is required when ordering food and beverages. A late fee of $50 will be assessed for all events booked via Catertrax after the 14-day cutoff. All events must be finalized 72 hours prior to the event date.
GUEST COUNT
Final guest count is required 72 hours prior to the event. Billing will be calculated on the final guest count or total number of guests served, whichever is higher.
This also includes dining in the Bearcat Commons.
LEFTOVERS AND OUTSIDE FOOD
For food safety reasons, we do not allow customers to remove any food from an event at the conclusion of the event.
FIRST RIGHT OF REFUSAL
Elior is the exclusive food service provider for the NWMS campus. Outside food is not allowed for any event unless a waiver or prior approval is granted by the Catering Director.
BILLING
All orders require a credit card on file at the time the order is placed. All external events will be billed 10 days prior to the event for 50% of the amount due. The remaining amount will be billed on the day of the event.
CHINA SERVICE
China service is included for all plated and buffet dinners in the ballroom. China is available for all events at an additional rate of $4.00 per person.
ADDITIONAL FEES
Bartending Staff | $30.00/hour (minimum of 4 hours, 1 bartender per 100)
Cake Cutting Service| $150.00
Chef for Carving Station | $200.00
LINENS
Choice of black or white linens available upon request. Other colors may be rented for an additional charge.
Standard Table Linens | $12.00 each
Standard Napkins | $1.50 each
Premium Table Linens & Napkins available upon request.
OFF CAMPUS CATERINGS
Elior is happy to provide catering to off campus locations within 10 miles of the campus. Please contact our Catering Director to identify delivery areas and charges.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must occur at least (7) seven business days prior to the event, or they will forfeit all charges. Cancellations made (3) three business days or less prior to the event will incur a 50% service charge on the remaining contracted amount. Cancellations 24 hours or less prior to the event will forfeit the remaining balance due including the cost of any specialty items or liquor service charges.
TAXES
All catered events will be taxed accordingly. Tax exemption status must be provided upon customer initiation.
